Biomedical Science Camp (BSC) 2025 program is designed to bring students closer to the forefront of biomedical research in Japan, one of the world’s leading countries in this field. Participants will be introduced to cutting-edge stem cell technology through hands-on experiments while also tackling real-world public health challenges and global crises. BSC is integrated a hackathon-style approach, where students actively engage in problem-solving and innovation rather than passively receiving knowledge. We're taking full advantage of being in Japan! You'll get to meet respected scholars and experts from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). This is a government agency that helps with development both in Japan and internationally.
As part of the program, you'll spend a day at JICA's facility in Yokohama. Experts there will give insightful talks on international cooperation and important social issues in Southeast Asia.
Solve Real-World Problems
We'll encourage you to approach these topics with a biomedical scientist's mindset. You'll actively propose possible solutions using cutting-edge biomedical technologies. This exercise is designed to help you develop strong problem-solving skills, which are essential for young scholars dealing with real-world challenges.
